Shimba Hills National Reserve
Step Away from the Beach to the Jungle
The reserve is home to a variety of animals, including elephants, sable antelopes (which are only found in Shimba Hills in Kenya), giraffes, leopards, monkeys, and birds. You can go on a game drive or hike through the park to see these animals in their natural habitat.
The forest at Shimba Hills National Reserve is an important bird area and is endowed with forest birdlife while the grasslands hold localized species such as red-necked-Spur fowl, Croaking Cisticola and Zanzibar Red Bishop. The scenic Sheldrick Falls and the dense Mwaluganje Forest are also found here along with four campsites.
